ACTION ALERT: make sure AA $ is spent on trails for US: attend meeting or email by Wed 9/10
Thank you for getting out and voting for Measure AA! The measure squeaked in to win, largely due to the mountain biking community. Hurrah! We’ve shown them that we’re people of action. Now we have to do the next step: make sure the money is spent on mountain biking trails.
Mid Pen sold this measure on a promise to build more mountain biking trails – let’s make certain they do.
A special meeting of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space Board of Directors is happening this week to discuss these issues – please attend to speak or email before the meeting.

This is a very important measure for mountain bikers in Silicon Valley. Check out our video for more information.
The Midpen Board of Directors voted to place a general obligation bond measure on the June 3, 2014 ballot. The decision came after a long public process to help shape the direction and priorities of the District into the future. SVMTB participated in this process and the resulting vision plan reflects the public’s priorities to expand, enhance, and connect regional trails and open space areas, to preserve open space, and to complete restoration projects.
The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District has permanently persevered more than 62,000 acres and manages 26 open space preserves. Your vote on June 3 is needed for the bond measure that will maintain and enhance our local natural areas, protect redwood forests, local creeks and streams, coastal lands and natural areas - and open more areas for hiking and biking!
Walden Hyde is working with the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) to better serve mountain bikers.
Because you ride bikes on trails, we want to know more about who you are and what you care about. And, we’ll make it worth your time by entering your name in a drawing for an IMBA kit or IMBA T-shirt!
