Mountain Cyclist January-February 2001
Club News
...by Rod Brown, ROMP President
We still have one opening left in the ROMP leadership -- we still need a secretary. Requirements for this position are minimal :
- willingness to spend an hour a month at the ROMP meeting and take notes
- willingness to spend another half-hour typing up the minutes and sending them out
- interest in local cycling advocacy
It really is that simple, and a great way to contribute some time toward keeping the trails open.
If you are interested or would just like more info, please contact me.

Happy New Year ! My name is Greg Crawford and I am looking forward in the upcoming months to bringing you an informative and fun Mountain Cyclist newsletter. It is a great honor to be able to bring you all the latest and greatest ROMP has to offer.
Just a little about myself ... I have been into cycling for about 25 years. With my first Huffy BMX to my latest collection of mountain bikes, cruisers, and road bikes, I have always enjoyed the sport. I worked for Voodoo Cycles a few years ago and raced for a number of years prior to that. Mountain biking has always been my main love in cycling ... I don't know, maybe it's the single track ... and I thought this is a good way for me to give back to those of you who put in your time and energy to help save our local trails. I raise my Thomas Kemper Black Cherry Soda to you ROMP cyclists! Enjoy your riding this Winter !
