Mountain Cyclist Nov. 1999
Club News
As the days get colder, shorter, darker, and rainier and the holiday season approaches, the number of ROMP rides and other activities settles into a temporary lull. Thus, to give the newsletter editor and all you contributors a little break, only one newsletter issue will be released for December and January. What does this mean for you?
- Dec. and Jan. rides should be submitted by Nov. 10 (see the ride leadership page for details). However, rides that miss this deadline will still be posted on the web list.
- Dec. and Jan. news articles must be submitted by Nov. 12 (see the news main page for details).
- One less piece of mail in your mailbox to get lost among your holiday cards and thank-you notes.
So, start thinking about your biking plans for January a little early this year, and enjoy Thanksgiving and the rest of your holiday season!

...by Glenn Wegner
Thanks to those that showed up at the October newsletter mailing party to fold, seal, and label more than 400 newsletters and deliver many of them to local bike shops. As usual, all the work was completed in less than an hour which left plenty of time for pizza, drinks, and socializing. Thanks to Don B., Bob C., Jim L., Pete L., Catherine M., Jim O., John R., and Linda W.
This fun is repeated monthly, usually on the fourth Wednesday or Thursday of the month in Cupertino. If you would like to help with next month's newsletter (and eat some pizza and talk bikes at the same time), contact Glenn Wegner at 408-257-8284 or newsmailing@romp.org for more details.
